Corporate Responsibility

When we started building software in 1991, doing what’s best for our employees and customers was second nature. As we’ve grown to a company of more than 3,000 strong, we are thankful that we have the opportunity make an even bigger impact on our communities as we sustain a culture that fosters generosity of spirit.

It’s our privilege to forge meaningful, long-term ties with the customers, partners, students, educators and non-profit organizations that shape our vision and values. These relationships make us who we are – a united, engaged workforce that is dedicated to being a positive presence around the globe.

Hyland is honored to be recognized as one of the 50 Best Workplaces for Giving Back.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Hyland is committed to creating a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion. Our decisions are rooted in a deep sense of support for individuals in our organization and our communities. We value individuality, inviting the different skillsets and viewpoints that diversity brings. Hyland aims to celebrate our people, engage our communities, grow our future workforce and support our customers.

Our ERGs are employee-led groups that foster connection and communication. They support a sense of community at work, as well as offer resources and events to inspire, empower and engage. Learn more

  • MERG (Multicultural ERG)
  • VERG (Veteran ERG)

In addition to VERG, Hyland has implemented a mentorship program that helps veterans become accustomed to Hyland’s culture and work environment. Veterans also receive an extra day of paid time off as a gesture of thanks for their service. No matter the length of service, or in which branch they served, there is a place for veterans at Hyland

Corporate Responsibility

To encourage interest and confidence in computer sciences and other traditionally male-dominated IT fields, Hyland hosts the bi-annual Women in Tech Conference. In addition, our Women in Tech group supports women working at Hyland in the IT space and connects them with schools, organizations and events that advance women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).

Corporate Responsibility

Hyland partners with various agencies at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities for job-shadowing.

Community engagement

Hyland encourages and empowers employees to support the organizations that mean the most to them. We offer 12 hours per year of paid volunteer time off, non-profit organization board-matching to help them align skill sets and interests with local organizations, and gift-matching that helps their donations go even further.

We’re proud of our relationships with programs and organizations that have a direct impact on our communities, including Adopt-a-Family, the Red Cross, United Way, Business Volunteers Unlimited, The Centers for Families and Children and the Cleveland Food Bank.

Corporate Responsibility

Each year, hundreds of Hylanders roll up our sleeves and work together on a large revitalization project. What started at our headquarters in Northeast Ohio has become a tradition at our offices around the world.

We cultivate an environment where employees are family, and we actively engage in their well-being. Through a grant managed by the Emergency Assistance Foundation, this relief fund allows employees to make charitable donations to assist coworkers in times of need.
